Honduras Finca Caracol, 12oz
Back in 2002, a group of women in Honduras’ Marcala region decided to start their own Cooperative. They were fed up with depending on their husbands and fathers for economic survival, and COMUCAP was born. Women from the community came together to produce and sell honey, aloe vera, wine, and coffee to earn their economic freedom. They eventually used their profits to buy land with higher elevations and more fertile soil capable of producing specialty coffee, and they named it Finca Caracol. Today they own wet mills, drying patios, their own compost production plant, and export 6 containers of coffee per year.
