Colombia Aponte Honey

$18.50
Grind Type*:

Aponte is a region inside the department of Nariño, well known for producing stellar honey processed coffees. Up at 1,700 to 2,100 meters, the air stays cool and the temperatures hold steady all year, and a crisp wind almost always blows through. That’s the perfect setup for drying coffee evenly, and it gives these honey processed coffees a clean, crisp acidity that’s unique to the region. Mixed Colombian varieties. We’re keeping this roast on the lighter side of a medium to let the processing shine.

In the bag: Net Weight 12oz (340g) of locally roasted coffee.

In the cup: When hot, tart raspberry, green apple, and a mango-like citrus. As it cools, layers of caramel unfold, with a hint of complementary bitterness, like cocoa nibs. Honey process, crisp acidity, textured body.

Plain talk: bright and juicy up front, like tart raspberry and green apple, then it turns sweet like caramel as it cools, with a little cocoa nib bitterness to round it out.

Brew it however you prefer. This one’s juicy, sweet, and versatile.
