Honduras Finca Caracol

$18.50
Grind Type*:

A group of women in the Marcala region of Honduras started their own cooperative, COMUCAP, because they were tired of relying on husbands and fathers for economic survival. They produced honey, aloe vera, wine, and coffee, then used the profits to buy higher, more fertile land they named Finca Caracol. Here, at 1,200 to 1,600 masl, they grow coffee of the Catuai, Bourbon, and Typica varietals.

In the bag: Net Weight 12oz (340g) of locally roasted coffee.

In the cup: Chocolate syrup, graham, molasses, and raw sugar. Mellow acidity, syrupy body - the kind of cup you settle into.

Plain talk: Rich and sweet, almost dessert-like. Think chocolate and brown sugar with barely any bite. Great with cream, good black too if you like it mellow.

This one's a slow-morning kind of coffee.
