*If you’re unsure of grind type, just let us know. When you add this coffee to your cart, you’ll have a chance to let us know how you brew your coffee so we can grind it how you like it.
Located in San José Río Bravo, a remote community in Puebla's Northeastern Sierra, Consuelo Ortuño farms the land she inherited from her father - a plot called "Talix." The region is so remote that trucks can't reach it; the family transports their coffee out by horseback. It sits in a rare micro-climate where the coffee ripens a little later than usual, shade-grown in cool, lush tropical forest that gives coffees from this region a unique profile as compared to other regions in Mexico. Marsellesa and Garnica varietals, grown at 1,100 meters.
In the bag: Net Weight 12oz (340g) of locally roasted coffee.
In the cup: Pecan, toffee, plum, sugar cookie, and cocoa. Washed process, layered acidity, full body.
Plain talk: Rich and dessert-like - think toffee and sugar cookie with a plummy sweetness and a nutty pecan finish. Full-bodied and satisfying, with no sharp edges.
Brew it however you prefer. This one's worth the trip it took to get here.
